Avoid holiday debt problems by choosing a good deal

Avoid holiday debt problems by choosing a good deal

- Friday, 16 July 2010

Families dealing with debt problems may be reassured to hear that there are many good holiday deals on offer as companies compete with each other.

According to Rhonda Carrier, head of content at Takethefamily.com, believes holidaymakers can find excellent deals by signing up to email alerts and searching online.

She also stated that price comparison websites do not always provide the best information to help consumers find cheaper holiday deals.

Ms Carrier said: "It's far better to select your holidays via a family specialist, who are very familiar with the market and with parents' needs, and who will have a range of specially selected offers on everything from travel and accommodation to all-inclusive holidays."

However, those with debt problems could still save money by booking online. According to travelsupermarket.com consumers can save at least 14 per cent by searching online.

Using a price comparison website could lead to savings of 40 per cent, suggested travelsupermarket.com.
