CAB: Seek debt management help before it's too late
CAB: Seek debt management help before it's too late
- Monday, 12 October 2009UK consumers have been advised to face up to their problems and secure help before the "molehill becomes a mountain".
The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) has suggested that people should look to sort out their concerns as soon as they possibly can before the effects of the recession make them worse.
David Harker, chief executive of the CAB said: "The earlier on an issue is identified, the easier it is to resolve.
"Even people at crisis point - for example people facing a court hearing for repossession of their home - can find their situation swiftly improved if they seek advice."
The CAB is one of a number of organisations highlighting the importance of seeking help as part of Advice Week 2009 (October 12th to 18th).
Other bodies involved include Age Concern and Help the Aged, the Law Centres Federation and Youth Access.
