Consumers conducting banking via mobiles?
- Tuesday, 27 July 2010More than half of Brits (52 per cent) believe that banking by phone is the most convenient way to keep control of their money – which could help them deal with
debt problems.
A further 49 per cent prefer to control their finances over the phone rather than online as they like to talk to a real person and 82 per cent of 45 to 54 year-olds favour this option as they can bank anywhere.
That is according to Birmingham Midshires (BM) Savings, which claims that consumers use the phone in order to save money. Any savings made could be put towards a
debt solution.
John Bianco, head of BM savings products, said: "It's clear that most of us enjoy talking on the phone and find it useful for getting day to day jobs done quickly and efficiently."
Last month, the Co-operative Bank advised young people to check their balances online to stay on top of their finances and avoid getting into
debt problems.
