Debt management plans could help DIYers

Debt management plans could help DIYers

- Tuesday, 7 April 2009

Do-it-yourselfers could find a debt management scheme the key to helping them pursue their hobby further.

With the Easter weekend approaching, many Britons might be looking to get some DIY done to spruce up their home for the spring.

But figures from price comparison website moneysupermarket.com reveal that a lack of available funds is preventing some homeowners from carrying out even necessary repairs.

Head of home insurance Steve Sweeney says: "People are looking for more ways to keep spending down.

"It is sad so many people cannot afford much-needed improvements for their beloved home."

Some 43 per cent of the people surveyed by the price comparison service said they did not have enough money to afford the repairs and upgrades they would like for their homes.

With debt management plans such as those available from DebtFixers, homeowners could see their finances brought back on track.

A debt management scheme can also be updated should more income begin to be received, allowing creditors to be repaid more quickly, DebtFixers explains.ADNFCR-2300-ID-19111357-ADNFCR
