Debt management plans could make love life top priority

Debt management plans could make love life top priority

- Thursday, 11 February 2010

Committing to effective debt management plans may help Brits put their relationships ahead of their financial concerns.

The Scottish Widows' Priority of Life Index reveals that over a third of Brits are worried about neglecting their partner as a result of money worries and work commitments.

Some 12 per cent believe they need to focus on making sure ends meet above anything else, yet over half wish that they could make their partner their top priority.

Commenting on the findings, savings expert for Scottish Widows Alison Morris said: "We understand that making time for loved ones can be difficult but our research shows that the majority of people ideally want their partner to be their top priority in life, far above work or finances."

A recent survey by research organisation Mintel found that money is the nation's top concern, with 40 per cent of Brits claiming to be stressed over their financial situation. ADNFCR-2300-ID-19609780-ADNFCR
