'No hiding' from debt management
'No hiding' from debt management
- Monday, 30 March 2009Britons have been told not to try and hide from their
debt management plans if they wish to avoid worsening their financial situation.
The Sun tells its readers: "Don't bury your head in the sand on this one."
Indeed, by ignoring debt management, consumers are told that they could be putting more than just their own home at risk.
As well as potentially losing their house, The Sun notes that landlords of rental properties could also choose to check a credit report before allowing a person to move into their accommodation.
This could leave Britons who do not stick to their
debt management plans with no home of their own and unable to gain approval to rent.
Instead, people are told to check their credit report to discover exactly how much they owe so a debt management programme can be arranged.
Lloyds TSB recently revealed that those who have faced a recession before are more prepared to tighten their belts by forgoing luxuries.
As a result, younger consumers could be more at risk in the current economic climate.
