People with money worries can seek debt help from plenty of places

People with money worries can seek debt help from plenty of places

- Tuesday, 8 March 2011

Brits faced with financial worries have plenty of choice when it comes to seeking debt advice.

Richard Marriott, head of savings at the largest building society in the world -Nationwide, stated that it is sensible for people with money problems to research debt solutions.

He said: "If they've got a complicated financial situation, or if they are just in need of some advice or help, I would say come and talk to any of the financial institutions.

"You'll find many people willing to help, take their time and sit and listen and help find the best option for customers."

Therefore, it is better to seek debt advice sooner rather than later, as banks or borrowers may be able to help.

Mr Marriott made these comments following the release of a new report by Bright Grey on March 2nd.

It was found that Brits living alone are more likely to overspend than those who live as part of a family. This could mean single people could find themselves with debt problems.
